Thin Green Line

Your editorial [re: “Green Line Fever,” vol. 5 no. 32] about the Green Line and LAX concluded with the line, “There’s nothing stupid about building with the future in mind.” I would like to suggest that expanding a branch of the rail into LAX would be a major challenge. A look at a good map will show the Green Line Aviation Blvd. station is near the southeast corner of the airport, the line continues to four more stations, with Redondo Beach at the end. Before any rail service is planned to reach the several passenger terminals, consideration must be given as to how these terminals are to be serviced, by any new system. Meantime, I will continue with my single carry-on bag onto the Red Line, then the Blue Line, and the Green Line to Aviation Blvd. and shuttle to the required terminal.

Snakes & Spelling Mistakes

I was at the shoot [re: “Snakes on the Brain,” vol. 5 no. 33], and this is the lamest video ever, and that ugly chick that balances the can of MGD on her butt is the trashiest thing I have ever seen. Everyone in this vodeo should get a realy life [sic] instead of trying to win some white trash award.

-Tony McGullen

I agree with Tony. Everyone in this vodeo should get a realy life [sic].

Wal-Mart a Threat

[re: “Super Ban Returns,” vol. 5 no. 33] Very informative. I am relieved that L.A. Alternative is publicizing this so thoroughly. Vulnerable neighborhoods need to see the issues clearly.

[re: “Sidestage,” vol. 5 no. 33] I love your beautiful words, Mannheimer.

Socal Youth

What’s wrong with the Red Hot Chili Peppers?! [re: “L.A. Ghosts and Flowers,” vol. 5 no. 33] I think they are all great musicians and their music really fits as Southern California’s rock music. What do you guys think about Jim Morrison, he was also very popular in Los Angeles?

Cover Correction

The brilliant, psychedelic Space Shuttle collage that graced our cover two weeks ago [“The New Last Frontier,” vol 5. no. 32] was created by Jona Bechtolt. We regret that we overlooked crediting him on the cover. Peace Jona!
