To Arnie’s Credit, Slither and Grind, Pass the Jay

To Arnie’s Credit

Can someone please explain to me the almost obligatory trashing of the current gov. [re: “Is Anybody Out There?” vol. 5 no. 27] of our state? I mean, I’m an indie music loving, environmentally active, liberty loving, Bush despising, independent voter, and I can’t figure out why Arnie’s so bad. And no, I’m not a moll for the GOP. He’s for (and has acted on) preserving open space. He’s got a good record on the environment. He openly took a stance against the Bush administration regarding national guardsmen on the border and funding for infrastructure repair in Sacramento. He has a bipartisan attitude. He’s admitted mistakes (ex. the ballot initiatives). Yes he’s done some things I don’t like; that’s inevitable. But if you think I’m going to use my vote to support any mud-slinging, boring, uninspiring rich boys just because they’re democrats, think again.

Slither and Grind

The video [re: “Snakes on the Brain,” vol. 5 no. 33] is going to be great. I’m unclear on these definitions of real life. If outbootying, outgyrating, and outflannelling every video made and to be made isn’t real, I don’t want to know what is.

Hey, Jeremy,

Congratulations! I’m thrilled that you are doing so well [re: “Side Stage: Jeremy Jay,” vol. 5 no. 34], and I’m very proud of who you are and how you express yourself. You are a beautiful person.

Sylvia Shaules

I’ve been to a show of yours. You do rock! I especially like your mellow music.

Jamie

It’s great to know you’re using that wonderful soul-felt talent of yours in music!
