I enjoyed this article, especially after seeing the movie. It was interesting to learn about other experiences recently taking place in my neighborhood.

Moronic Rancheros
[re: “Sidestage: The Stevenson Ranch Davidians,†vol. 5 no. 36]
I’m not sure if this band needs “to be known around the world.†But I went to their website and I liked what I heard. The lyrics may be laughable, but at least they sound honest and direct. How many other bands can convey how thoughtless they are as convincingly as the Stevenson Ranch Davidians? I think by the end of your review you agree, Max, that it’s nice to go to shows and forget about the big bad WWIII wolf at the door. Sure, these kids sound like they’re living in another world. But what would you rather hear: morons *admitting* they’re morons….or morons singing about the Middle East?

I really have no idea of what you were talking about but these guys kick ass and they need to be known around the world.

Keep on Jammin’
[re: “We’re Jammin,’†vol. 5 no. 35]
Thanks for the spot-on review of my new favorite neighborhood hangout. I hesitate raving about the place because I like not having to wait for a table, even on a Sunday. But I feel it my duty to give this great little place its due. That said, I love this place! Two things to add to your great review. One is the vegetarian options. My girlfriend is veg, and from the breakfast options to the (amazing) soups to sandwiches etc., she has yet to tire of the options. I even eat the home made veggie burger, though I skip the cucumber. It’s the best we’ve had. Second thing I’d like to add is the coffee quality. Mr. Moldofsky with the laptop from last week says it best with, “killer.†Oh man, just try it.
