A Plastic Past
[Re: "Doll Face," vol. 5 no. 38]

This would make an interesting thesis-what with the role of historical memory and all.

Just a heartfelt thanks to Andria for some kind words. Much appreciation. If you come back, please introduce yourself.

I love this play. … I honestly LOVE THIS PLAY! I agree that this is by far the best show I’ve seen all year!

If She Only Had A Brain
[Re: "What I Learned from Live with Regis and Kelly," vol. 5 no. 36]

I’m not sure if you remember, but then Ripa proceeded to mention her house and her backyard and her forest with the stream (all within chauffeur’s distance from NYC) by which her fireplace sits and exists only for her whimsical smoring pleasures.

She’s a real Plain Jane, ain’t she?

Head Over High Heels
[Re: The City, vol. 5 no. 38]

What exactly has Derf, generally one of this aging hippie’s keys to the hip youth of today, got against Paris Hilton? No mistake here; he’s saying (albeit facetiously, one hopes) that it’d be good if she got beheaded. Is she that bad of an actress? (I’ve never seen any of the movies with her in them.) Is she a fascist or something? (Hot damn. I’ve never seen any of the porno with her in it either, but it seems to me that that, at least, should be pretty good.)

Nice Word, Tough Issue
[Re: "Paying for the 'Free' Market" vol. 5 no. 38]

Wow, this is really refreshing! To hear from someone exhibiting a modicum of common sense!

How about that!

Let’s hear some more of the same!

I think first of all, people who are being “Ellis-ed” should have a special name. “Evicted” has a very unpleasant stigma attached to it..and even saying “Ellis-ed” still conveys to those who know, “evicted,” even if it’s “no fault”… someone somewhere is going to think it’s “your fault somehow.”… Something that doesn’t say “evicted”… or “Ellis-ed” but maybe something like “relocated resident”? Or “displaced resident”? Maybe the city can have a contest to come up with the best new euphemism? Or maybe the city could just make it somehow less destructive to those who are having these unpleasantries forced upon them…

Comments, please?
