Silver Lake Horror Music and Picture Show

The Silver Lake Film Festival is adding some new elements to its roster of fundraising: Horror Music!  This year’s Halloween night is the debut of the Silver Lake Horror Music and Picture Show, a live concert to raise money for the non-profit Silver Lake Film Festival where you should come dressed as your favorite film character costume and screen some indie horror flicks.  Playing live are old school rap, queercore group Gravy Train!!!, “pony thrash” proto-punkers Mika Miko, and ’70s power-punk meets Brian Jonestown Massacre The Red Hearts plus MC Johnny Angel of Air America.  I think it would just be interesting enough to go see the film buffs wrestle the music snobs. The show starts a 8 p.m.  $15 at door, advance tickets available.  More information at: http://silverlakefilmfestival.org/ (Tiffany Lee)
